Ryan Sharratt, CSP, CHMM, PMP

Ryan Sharratt is an environmental and occupational safety professional with more than two decades of experience leading complex environmental remediation, emergency response, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials, and regulatory compliance programs throughout the United States. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of NWFF Environmental, where he provides strategic leadership for multidisciplinary teams supporting federal, state, municipal, commercial, and industrial clients.

Ryan's professional expertise spans hazardous waste management, emergency management, environmental restoration, occupational health and safety, project management, organizational leadership, and workforce development. He has directed large-scale response and compliance initiatives involving hazardous materials, contaminated site remediation, environmental due diligence, and high-risk industrial operations while maintaining a strong commitment to regulatory excellence and worker protection.

He holds the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials. Ryan is completing his Doctor of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), where his research focuses on the intersection of cognitive science, leadership, grief, organizational performance, and the human dimensions of workplace safety. His work seeks to advance the profession by integrating evidence-based leadership principles with practical safety and environmental management.

In addition to his operational leadership, Ryan is an author, educator, and frequent contributor to professional discussions on occupational safety, environmental stewardship, emergency preparedness, and leadership science. He is committed to mentoring the next generation of environmental and safety professionals while promoting ethical decision-making, technical excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the profession.
