Josephine H. Martin is the Principal of Management for Sustainability LLC providing sustainability, environmental, health, safety, and quality consulting.  Josephine holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Eastern Mennonite University.  She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Lehigh University. 

Josephine has over 20 years in sustainability, environmental, health, safety, and quality in the electronics manufacturing industry with companies including Ford, Visteon, Unisys and Sprague.  Josephine also has over 14 years in consulting assisting clients in developing, implementing, auditing, and certifying environmental, health, safety, and quality management systems; assisting clients in obtaining air, water, stormwater, wastewater, and waste (residual, infectious, and electronics) permits; and assisting clients in developing various environmental emergency plans including Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPC), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Contingency Plans; and Integrated Contingency Plans (EPA One Plan, Pennsylvania Integrated Environmental Emergency Plans).  Josephine consulted with companies in the pharmaceutical, chemical, waste, electronics, and other industries. 

Most recently Josephine has been active in the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP) as a Director on the AHMP Cyber Chapter Board.  Prior to 2021, Josephine was also active as a member of the AHMP Philadelphia Chapter since the early 1990’s.  Josephine has been a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) since 1986.  She is currently active on the Institute of Hazardous Materials Managers (IHMM) Micro-credential Task Force.  Additionally, Josephine is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) since 1985 participating as member with the Division of Environmental Chemistry and recently the Small Chemical Business Division.
